We’ve had a really good although very busy day. We met up with T at 11:30 to see American Gangster. I went into it having no idea what the movie was about, and although it was slow at points I ended up enjoying it quite a bit. It’s a fascinating story and based on true events, so now of course I want to look it up and see how close they stuck to reality when making the film.
After the movie we went to a pizza place for lunch, and then walked across the parking lot to get pedicures at a new nail place T and I wanted to try. This is where I get to sing the praises of my BlackBerry again, because while T read her People Magazine, I logged into Astro Empires from my BlackBerry and played at interstellar warfare while getting my toes done. I am such a geek! For me, though, getting a pedicure while killing massive space fleets really is the height of luxury. 
Once our toes had dried, T and I went to the Big Lots to look for a table to hold my dollhouse. I ended up buying an entertainment table thingie for a TV. It has a surface big enough and strong enough to hold the dollhouse, and two shelves and two drawers underneath for my soon-to-be-acquired furniture and dolls and the inevitable odds’n'ends I know I”ll accumulate.
T proved her excellence as a friend because she came to my house and helped me get the entertainment table box up into my apartment. It’s one of those flatpack things where you put the furniture together yourself and it was pretty damned heavy. It would have been difficult for us to do it alone. I drove her back to her car and came home to collapse gratefully.
We got another postcard from sendsomething.net and I’m really pleased with how all of that is going. We haven’t even advertised much and we’re already up to over 80 participants. I think this has the potential to go somewhere. I do like getting postcards from all over.
What else? L/L will be online in about an hour for dates, yay. I’m not sure if we’ll go to bed afterwards, or put together the entertainment table, or what. I suppose it depends on how active Tel feels like being, since she’s our resident furniture-putter-together.
Tomorrow is Sunday! Another whole day to hang out and see L/L and cuddle with kitties and putter around the apartment. Yay!
