Today went fine as far as traveling and getting the last Christmas present for our parents and then spending the evening with the family and even getting to see L/L online for a short bit. The only bad news is that neither the Verizon Wireless network nor the BlackBerry network have good connectivity out here in the boonies of south Louisiana, so we’re stuck with email for communicating with L/L while we’re gone. It’s funny when even email seems too slow. We are very spoiled that way.
I’m putting a reminder here for myself to talk about my brother-in-law and how he perceives our life versus how we perceive it. There’s a big disconnect there, but I know it’s because there are a lot of things that he simply has no experience with, and I’m glad he doesn’t have it. It does change how you interpret things, though, when you have had those sorts of things happen to you.
So yeah. Things are going ok. I think the visit is going to be fine and then I’m looking forward to being back home with kitties and beloveds and all the good things in our life.
