Scientology defined

This is that Tom Cruise Scientology video that hit the Internet this week, but with explanations about what he’s saying. It’s also pretty irreverent.

Caturday

I was hoping to have a nice quiet weekend, but my sister sort of put paid to those thoughts. Her family is out of town this weekend so she wants to come over this afternoon to get pedicures and check out the fancy grocery store and watch a movie and spend the night and then go to the outlet stores tomorrow morning. All of that actually sounds like a lot of fun, but man I wish the timing had been a little different. I’m still in hole up and take a nap mode!

So anyway, we’re up at a reasonable hour and I’m about to start cleaning up the apartment so it’s less cluttered. Then I need to do schoolwork and run a meeting at noon for the group project which, yet again, I have ended up leading. I really don’t understand how people can just SIT THERE when something needs to be done, especially if it’s for work or school, and not do it. What’s up with that? Do they just not care about how it affects their job or their grade to not perform? I guess not. Although of course it doesn’t really affect their grade because we end up doing all the work for them and then they get our A. Bah. I am just a little grumpy about this!!! But - it is the last class and the last group project and so I’ll just concentrate on that while I pull together a 20-page document. Only six papers to go!

My mother says she wants to start going through her books and getting rid of some of them, which translates into sending them to me. I really don’t have room for more books! On the other hand, she’s got quite the treasure trove of WWII history books and I don’t want those to go anywhere but me. Actually I was surprised that she said she wanted to send them to me; I sort of figured the brother would get them. But hey, I’ll take them because I want them, and then my nephew (who’s developed the family interest in WWII history) can inherit them from me. I’ll figure something out. Eventually we’ll be moving, whether it’s to a condo or a two-bedroom apartment, and I’ll just buy more bookshelves. One can never have too many books!

All right, off to do my chores. Kitty boxes and vacuuming and taking out the garbage and decluttering and blah blah blah. I will blast loud music while I do it!
