Today I donated 10% of my (yet-to-be-received) tax refund via kiva.org for VUBOQ’s charity challenge. I spent $165 total - $25 to a group in Cambodia trying to raise pigs, $75 to a man in Cambodia who drives a taxi and needs to renovate his house, $50 to a woman in Peru who has a business selling beauty products, and $15 to Kiva itself to help it with administrative costs. I searched on loans that were old, and donated to the first three that caught my eye. We’ll see how it goes. I like the idea of helping people get on their feet. Hopefully they won’t default. ![]()
