WoW: Our tree

We play a Restoration Druid on WoW, mainly because the shapeshifting form for hardcore healing is a tree and that makes Lian very very happy inside.

So here’s a YouTube video of the Tree of Life dancing to Hey Ya by Outkast. Actually, there’s a ton of videos on YouTube of the Tree dance. It’s popular. :D

Moving along

I didn’t get a whole lot done this weekend packing-wise, but that’s because I feel like I have a little time to get it all done, especially since I’m taking off the week of Memorial Day. That said, I do intend to continue packing books today, especially while I’m on my many teleconferences for work. Most of those meetings require my presence and for me to listen, but not to actually say much (unless I get frustrated and chide engineers for arguing more than working, which does happen).

My toaster seems to have broken. It’s consistently charring the bottom half of my bagels. I had thought the first time was a fluke, but it happened again this morning and so now I have the sliding glass doors open and the vent on over the stove, trying to get rid of the burnt smell. Meh. I only paid something like $20 for the toaster at Wal-Mart so it won’t be a pain to replace it, but it’s a Black and Decker and only three years old or so, so I’m annoyed that it’s broken already.

There’s a kitty on the desk between me and the laptop and apparently its right rear paw is Very Dirty and requires a Deep Cleaning. I do love my kitties. All my kisses and hugs and cuddles com from kitties. I’d be lost without them! And they’re so cute!

I saw Iron Man yesterday with our friend T. It was a really entertaining film which is all I really ask of my superhero movies. I do think I noticed one thing. Towards the beginning they were flashing a series of magazine covers talking about how the main character was taking over the company his father had created, and one of the titles said something about “Taking the reigns.” I’m pretty sure I didn’t imagine it, even though it was only on the screen for a split second. I think having an English teacher for a mother means I’m congenitally incapable of letting things like that slide by. I should poke around online and see if I imagined it or not. If I’m right, then surely someone has already written a diatribe about it. :D

Ok, time for work. I hope everyone is doing well!
