And now for the picture entry

I hope these resize properly. I’ve got too many pictures here to mess with it overly much at this point. I’m feeling a bit scattered. Please excuse any messiness. :)

Ok, so here we go!

Done deal

We are now officially homeowners. Woot!

And the grand total is…

TWENTY-TWO boxes of books, CDs, and DVDS!

Now on to my office stuff.

Time to get started

I’ve procrastinated this entire weekend when it comes to packing for the move. It’s ok in that there’s time to get it done; I have all this week off from work. All the same, I do need to get it started and today’s the day. I’ve done 16 boxes of books/CDs/DVDs and 2 boxes of things from my dresser, but there’s more books (and CDs and DVDs) to be packed as well as everything else that I own. Gah, I hate moving so much. I’m glad this is the last time for a long time.

I have a duffelbag that I’m using to hold immediate stuff, sort of like I’m going on a trip. It’s got clean clothes in it, and I’ll pack my toiletries and meds in there too so that when I get into the new place I’ll have all the really vital stuff right there (clean underwear! crazy meds! shampoo!) and can unpack the rest somewhat leisurely.

It’s all coming together slowly. By this time next week we’ll have been in our new place for two days and things will be starting to settle. We just have to hold on and get through it.
