We slept really well last night. I wasn’t sure we would, but we did. We already feel safe here and although the kitties made some noises amongst the boxes during the night, we immediately recognized them for what they were and hardly even woke up. We honestly haven’t been sleeping that well all week what with everything going on, so it was nice to sleep well. We needed it. Of course our alarm clock that I had forgotten to unpack did go off at 5am (stupid batteries!), so I had to stumble up and find it to get it turned off. We fell right back asleep, though.
In a bit I’ll go take a shower and get dressed. I’m picking T up at 11:15 to go see Sex and the City (no spoilers, I promise!), and then have lunch. Afterwards I’ll either go into Arlington to a LAN party (yay WoW!), or start unpacking. By unpacking I mean dusting all the various shelves for my various pieces of furniture and setting them back up so I can put things on them, like the contents of 22 boxes of books, DVDs, and CDs. Tonight will be dates and then tomorrow it’s back to work, but it’s all good. I intend to do the unpacking bit by bit so I can really sort through stuff and get rid of things that are unnecessary.
I also need to get back over to the old place to retrieve my cold food, and clean up the trash from moving, and getting things to a place where I can have my cleaners come and get it ready to turn the keys back in. I have two weeks to get that all done, though.
Things are good. I think we’re going to like living here. There’s so much sun and space and it’s OURS.
