Despite the heat I managed to get out today to mail some things and take out some trash. (Unpacking produces a lot of trash.) I also hit up the grocery store for a few things, so I felt accomplished when I got back home all sweaty and gross.

I took a shower and played some WoW. Now it’s time for dinner, and tomorrow it’s back to the routine. I hope our new work table/desk comes soon so I can really set up the office area. The bedroom is pretty much done. The new furniture is really lovely, and I’m very pleased with how it all looks. It seems to be fairly good quality, too. The kitties definitely approve!

I was really vicious in weeding through my books while unpacking and the result is that I’ve mailed out over 40 books this week for paperbackswap.com. After transferring some credits to pbs from swapacd and swapadvd, I now have something like 150 credits with pbs (with more to come). I gave my sister my login and told her to order books for her whole family, as many as she wanted.

I took the little bookshelf I had bought that matches my (now inadequate) computer desk, and put it in the bedroom to hold all of my to-be-read pile. It holds everything beautifully and now when I go and choose a book to read it won’t put me in danger of being brained when the top of the stack falls over. (That happened to me more than once, let me tell you.)

I’m really very pleased with how things are coming together, although overall the place looks a mess because there are still boxes everywhere, and I’m pretty much stymied in the unpacking department until my Dad gets here to put gliders on all the furniture that’s on the hardwood floor. That means I can’t unpack my CDs and DVDs, yet, or any of the fragile stuff. It’ll come, though. My parents will be in town next Sunday and they’re coming over on Wednesday the 18th to do all that for me. I think by two weeks from today the place will really be looking spiffy.

Okies, dinner time. I hope everyone is doing well!
