Today we took vacation and spent the WHOLE DAY with our parents. OMG. We survived though, and some things got done around the condo that needed doing, most especially hanging the antique mirror over the mantel.

Also the workmen finished the balcony and took the board off the door that was keeping us from going outside. Someone will still need to come and stain and seal the deck, but the railings are up and it looks great. My dad went into the utility closet and turned up the heat on the water heater, and we had our first truly hot bath ever in the new place. It was exquisite.

My parents spent quality time with the grandkittens, too, which was nice since they hadn’t seen them in about four years.

My work table was supposedly shipped out today. If it’s not here by Friday I’m going to be tempted to cancel the order entirely and do something else for a desk in the spare room. I can’t believe it’s taken this long to get something shipped and I’m very unhappy about it. It’s kept me from finishing the office space and making room to buy a double bed. I need that double bed; Lea will be here on July 18th for a visit! YAYAYAYAYAYAY! We loves us some Lea et al.

Oh. My dad bought me a tank of gas, too. I argued with him about it since, you know, I’m 39 and can afford to fill my own tank, but he insisted and I gave in. That’s $60 I won’t have to put into it. Parents are so pushy.

I did enjoy showing off my linen closets. :D
